NT-proBNP es el mejor parámetro predictivo independiente de evolución en pacientes con ICC1

 

Y no sólo en la insuficiencia cardiaca, en pacientes con síndrome coronario agudo, ProBNP es un poderoso marcador de mortalidad a largo plazo y ofrece una información pronóstica superior y más allá de la que ofrecen los marcadores de riesgo convencional2.

Por otro lado, también hay estudios que demuestran que NT-proBNP es un predictor independiente de mortalidad cardiovascular en pacientes con nefropatía diabética sin síntomas de insuficiencia cardiaca3.
